88FIVE LIVE (88.5 FM, Southern CA) at Drive-In OC presents Dawes on Saturday, October 17th at City National Grove of Anaheim. LA rockers Dawes will perform live in support of their new album ‘Good Luck With Whatever,’ via Rounder Records out this Friday. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, October 2nd, at 10:00 AM via AXS.com. One ticket per vehicle, each passenger must have a safety belt.
From the 1st downbeat, 'Good Luck With Whatever' sets a tone all its own. Far from apathetic, this album is Dawes at their most unapologetic. It’s sympathetic & magnetic, 50% genetic & highly kinetic. Drop the tone arm down, turn the volume up, unplug the phone & if you feel nothing… call a doctor.
88.5 FM General Manager Patrick Osburn said, “The station’s Triple-A format has been a regional taste maker for many years, and since Covid hit, we really missed producing our own shows”. He added, “We are beyond excited to be partnering with Nederlander and getting back to bringing live music to our concert starved audience”. Program Director Marc "Mookie" Kaczor added, "A great deal of innovation has come out of these difficult times. We've been itching to get back to live music and a drive-in show is the way to do it. 88.5 FM, Dawes and Nederlander are beyond excited to make this concert happen!"
“We are thrilled to build upon the success we’ve experienced with Drive-In OC,” said Jordan Harding, City National Grove of Anaheim General Manager. “Our partnership with SoCal’s 88.5 is the perfect fit to expand our series, providing even more music to fans from the comfort of their own vehicles.”
