Rodney Carrington

Comedian Rodney Carrington will appear at City National Grove of Anaheim on January 31.

Rodney recently released two albums on his own label Laughter’s Good, the re-mastered C'Mon Sing You Bastards with 3 new, previously unreleased songs, and a brand new album called Laughter's Good which both debuted at number one on the comedy charts. His third release, The Hits contains classic Rodney songs re-recorded with major orchestration, and features a duet with Colt Ford. It will be released on iTunes on November 20. His comedy special, “Laughter’s Good” recently debuted on Netflix, and plans are under way to record a new special in 2016 in Nashville, TN.

Rodney debuted his new You Tube series Bit By Bit, and is currently on tour with his show “Here Comes The Truth.” He appeared recently on the Sirius Radio Network with a “Rodney Carrington Takeover Special” on their Blue Collar Comedy Channel, and CMT aired two of his specials, Laughter’s Good and Live at the Majestic. Rodney also appeared on ESPN2 in the intro for Colin’s Football Show with Colin Cowherd during the 2014 NFL season.

This multi-million selling artist has  released eight major label albums, garnered Gold and Platinum records, had his own sitcom, Rodney on ABC; a co-starring role in a major movie, Beer for my Horses with Toby Keith; and a one-hour Comedy Central special. He regularly sells out concerts in the U.S. and Canada.

Rodney has appeared on countless other TV shows, including the ACA (American Country Awards), hosted the American Country New Year's Eve Live show on Fox, and had his own Comedy Central and CMT specials. He won “Supporting Character of the Year” from the CMT Music Video Awards for his appearance on the Trace Adkins’ music video “I Got My Game On,” and starred in a comedy sketch music video of his song entitled, “If I’m the Only One,” with guest appearances by Jennifer Aspen (Rodney, GCB, Glee), Nick Searcy (Rodney, Justified) and Toby Keith which aired on CMT.

Another of Rodney’s projects of which he is very proud is the Rodney Carrington Foundation, a 501c(3) which he founded that benefits charities who need a helping hand. Rodney added “author” to his list of accomplishments with the release of his first hard cover book entitled Rodney Carrington, Coming Clean published by Hatchette Books. 

According to Pollstar, Rodney has been one of the top ten highest grossing touring comedians for the last ten years and among the top 4 or 5 the last several years. Rodney's popularity derives, in large part, from his connection with his audience, both at his live shows, and through social media. And so far in 2015, he shows no signs of slowing down!
